Niniejszy zestaw oferuje nowy rejestrator WindLogger z 2 wejściami na anemometry, zapisującymi dane jednocześnie, dzięki czemu możliwy jest pomiar prędkości wiatru na dwóch różnych wysokościach.

Jakie daje to korzyści? Polegają one w głównej mierze na kalkulacji uskoków wiatru oraz ekstrapolacji prędkości wiatru na dużych wysokościach. Wyobraź sobie, że chcesz dokonać pomiaru prędkość wiatru na wysokości 23 metrów, jednak Twój maszt dosięga jedynie do 18 metrów. Wówczas możesz górny anemometr umieścić na wysokości 18 metrów, drugi natomiast na wysokości 12 metrów. Z tymi dwiema wartościami jesteś w stanie oszacować prędkość wiatru na wysokości 23 metrów, bez wykonania fizycznych pomiarów. Należy jedynie pamiętać, że nie zaleca się ekstrapolacji na wysokości większej niż 2/3 górnego punktu pomiaru.

The wind gauge is working very well. Our trainees built a 10-meter-high steel tower, and the measuring equipment has been hanging there and operating reliably for a year. The measurements provided us with the information we needed. We are now changing the battery for the first time after a year, which is also great.

We purchased Lewl Windlogger for our projects after technical support professionally explained what the error margin of the standard anemometer is compared to a calibrated one. We are happy with the product and want to order more units.

The wind logger is installed near a cow barn, where I rented the roof, to put a 152 kWp PV-plant. Thus, it would be easy to connect a future wind generator with the electricity grid. To see if the wind is good enough to put a small wind turbine generator system in this area. I am loggin the wind for one year started in February 2023. Then I’ll decide to ask the local authority for permission. I installed the wind logger on a 12-meter pole. Looks like the wind speed in this area of Switzerland is not very promising. Although during winter wind is normally stronger, hence having windlogger is great decision.

The set up of the wind logger was easy and worked from beginning as promised. My problem to import the CSV file in Excel, was quickly solved by the Windlogger team.

To study the atmospheric deposition and its temporal-spatial dynamics we purchased 3 wind trackers close to the dust traps so we analyse the wind speed and direction. Excellent customer support with our first international purchase out of Chile.

Q: What is the closest interval this logger can record?

A: 10 seconds, we recommend this setup only for short periods of time as it generates a lot of data and consumes much more battery. The other options are 1 minute and 10 minutes recording. The sampling rate is discrete.

A: Usually 2 to 4 days.

Q: We need to get longer cables since our installation will be on an existing 22m pole. Do you have longer cables available within this set, i.e. 25m (including reserve)? Thanks and best regards!

A: The standard cable is 13m long. We don't usually recommend extending the cable as it can be an entry point for water ingress if it has not been terminated right.
